The idea that I am the direct descendant of the Mesopotamian potter woman who invented the wheel, Liu Bang, the first emperor of the Han Dynasty, the Aztec priest who held an obsidian blade to the heart of a young human sacrifice and Cleopatra.... fills me with awe.
